Mission

The Centralia Public Schools Foundation is committed to supporting, enhancing, and investing in our students’ educational experience.

We Care About Kids

A strong public school system is crucial to the success of our community. That’s why we’re here: to invest in, support and mobilize the students and staff of Centralia R-VI School District. As an organization, we aim to provide resources and support initiatives that create awareness, enthusiasm and positive results for our people, and the future of our community. We’re a not-for-profit corporation organized to enhance education in our public school system- from pre-Kindergarten through vocational.

Who We Are

Established in 2020, the Centralia Public Schools Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt organization operating independently from the Board of Education. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are committed to supporting, enhancing, and investing in our students’ educational experience.

What We Do

The Foundation seeks and makes available resources to enhance learning for all Centralia R-6 students through the awarding of teacher grants.

Why We Do It

  • To inspire academic excellence for students at all levels.
  • To cultivate collaboration and understanding of educational issues within the community.
  • To encourage innovation and creativity, and to foster a love of learning.
  • To assist the district in providing our students with high-quality, leading-edge opportunities using the most current learning tools.

Board of Directors

Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
Unless otherwise noted, these meetings occur at 4:30pm at the Centralia School District Board Office.

What You Can Do

Ready to take the next step? You can become a contributor to elevating educational excellence.

Planned and Legacy Giving

Oftentimes through a planned gift, or by including the Centralia Public Schools Foundation in your will, you are able to make a gift that will have a more substantial impact. There are many options available in terms of planned giving; you may choose to give to the Foundation with gifts of property, appreciated stock, and retirement plans, including 401ks, IRAs, and pension plans.  In many cases, there can be great tax advantages in these types of giving, allowing you to make a greater contribution to help students achieve their full potential.

Gifts through bequests are common forms of legacy giving. You may choose to leave a specific dollar amount to the foundation or a percentage of your estate. Oftentimes, this type of gift can reduce your estate taxes. If you already have a will, updating it is as simple as adding a one or two page document to your will called a codicil.

Sample legal language for a bequest: I give, devise, and bequeath to Centralia Public Schools Foundation, TIN#86-4948188, a Missouri nonprofit, (one of the following) ___ percent of my estate, the sum of ____, or the residue of my estate.

Maybe you own an existing life insurance policy with a payment that you would no longer like to carry. If this policy has a cash value, you can make the Centralia Public Schools Foundation both the owner and beneficiary and receive a tax deduction for the cash surrender value of the policy. You can also make the Centralia Public Schools Foundation the beneficiary or one of the beneficiaries of an existing or new policy that you purchase and make payments on.

If you plan on leaving a legacy gift for the Centralia Public Schools Foundation, please let us know so we can celebrate with you and assist you in planning how your gift can make the most impact.

For further information or to notify us of your intent, please contact Jenne Auck, President at cr6foundation@gmail.com.

Types of Giving

You can give your gift to any specific program of the Foundation or leave it undesignated and we will use it in our greatest area of need.

You can make a gift in honor or in memory of someone.  If you provide the name of an individual to notify of your gift, we will let them know that you have made a gift in honor/memory of the individual you designated.

We have sponsorship options available each year.  Sponsorship benefits vary per sponsor level.  Contact our office for further information.

The Centralia Public Schools Foundation is always looking to establish new partnerships that benefit our students.  If you or your organization have an idea or would like to learn about our current programs and how you can help increase their impact, please contact us.

The Centralia Public Schools Foundation is continually pursuing philanthropy through endowments. These gifts can be designated to ensure perpetuity of a specific program or scholarship. Naming opportunities are available for endowment gifts that meet certain criteria. Please contact our office for further details.

If you work for the Belton School District, then supporting the Belton Educational Foundation has never been easier! Use this payroll deduction form (also available from the Centralia R-VI Board Office) to have your support to the Foundation done automatically.

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match the donations that their employees make. The employee requests the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Check with your employer to see if your gift can be matched.

There are many ways to give to the Centralia Public Schools Foundation. We accept checks, cash, or money orders, or you can make a gift online through Paypal. You can also contact us to learn how to make a gift of appreciated stock, saving you tax dollars and increasing impact.
