Back to School is right around the corner!

Education That Keeps Moving

The Centralia School District Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) plan is designed to ensure the continuity of learning during emergency school closures, such as inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The plan allows students to engage in meaningful educational activities from home, ensuring progress in their studies without extending the school year.

Centralia’s AMI plan is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and is aligned with state guidelines to provide equitable and accessible instruction for all students. Per state law, the district is able to use up to 36 hours of AMI before needing to add in-person instructional hours to the school calendar.
